Singhare Ki Kachori (Water Cheshnut Flour's Kachori)


Singhare ka attaa (Water cheshnut flour) -1 cup
Boiled and mashed potatoes -1/2 cup
Ginger paste –1 tsp, grated
Green chilies – 3-4
Coriander leaves
Red chili powder per taste
Black pepper per taste
Salt to taste
Cooking oil


  • Mix singhara atta and boiled , mashed potatoes in 2:1 ratio.

  • Add ginger, chopped green chili, coriander leaves, red chili powder, black pepper and salt.

  • Form a firm dough with minimum amount of water.Pinch a lemon size of dough and roll into small puri . Singhara flour is very soft in nature so it has to be rolled into small puri with help of hand and not rolling pin.

  • Fry  them in hot oil till they are golden brown on both sides.

  • You can enjoy these with spicy curry or hari dhania chutney.

You can replace normal salt with sendha namak (Rock salt)  for those who want to enjoy these on their fast.
