Samosa Chaat


Samosas: 3-6
White matar (Dry white peas) : 3/4 cup, boiled
Finely chopped onion – 1/2 cup
Ginger paste – 1 tsp
Channa masala as per taste
Roasted Cumin  powder (Zeera)
Coriander powder (Dhania)
Curd : 1 cups , whipped
Finely chopped green chilies as per taste
Finely chopped coriander leaves
Imli (tamarind) chutney
Rock salt (kalanamak)  as per taste
Red chilli powder as per taste
Chaat masala as per taste
Papadi (crushed)
Pomegranate seeds (Aanar) – 1/4 cup
Salt as per taste


  • Soak white peas over night and pressure cook them completely.
  • Heat butter and fry finely chopped onions and ginger.
  • Add boiled white peas and dry masalas; zeera, dhania, channa masala, chaat masala, red chili powder, imli chutney and salt. Add little water and mix everything well.
  • Take samosas in a plate and press it a bit. Top samosas with some whipped curd, finely chopped onions, finely chopped green chilies , coriander leaves, papadi, pre-cooked white peas, crushed papadi and some pomegranate seeds.
  • Sprinkle some zeera powder, red chili powder, black salt and chaat masala.
