Lauki Kheer (Bottle Guard / Opo Sqash Pudding)


Lauki (Bottle Guard): 1 cup, peeled and grated
Milk : 4 cups
Green Cardamom powder(chhoti elaichi): ½ tsp
Sugar as per taste
Kesar strands- 8-10


  • Peel and grate the lauki. Strain all the water from it with help of a cloth.
  • Heat kadhai and add grated lauki.
  • When lauki is rid of all water then add milk.
  • Add kesar strands.
  • Cook kheer till it becomes thick.
  • Add sugar and green cardamom powder.
  • Serve chilled.

Serves/Makes:  2-3
